Nikola Zivlak

Biography

International expert specializing in innovation in developing markets and international business development. Associate professor and academic director of undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the Asian campus of Emlion business school (France) in Shanghai. Also responsible for program development and international cooperation in China and Asia. Has over 20 years of academic experience and research work across more than 40 countries.
In addition to academic work and more than 50 published scientific papers and textbooks he contributed to, he actively collaborates with the business sector. Worked on numerous projects as a consultant and trainer for various industries, within multinational teams composed of people from over 100 countries worldwide.

He has taught at universities in China and Europe, participated in numerous seminars and conferences across China and Europe, and significantly contributes to improving relations between Europe and China. Since 2014, involved in academic and industrial cooperation related to the Belt and Road Initiative, primarily covering the Central and Eastern Europe region. Member of the China-Central and Eastern Europe Cooperation Network at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) in Beijing and an ESTIEM alumni club member. Also serves as a foreign consultant for the China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (CASME).

Completed his undergraduate and master’s studies at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, and successfully defended his doctoral dissertation on innovation in Chinese enterprises at Donghua University in Shanghai, PR China in 2013 as a Chinese Government scholar. Has lived and worked in Shanghai (China) since 2007.
