Igor Pršić

Biography

Igor Pršić, as Managing Partner, oversees the business operations of the law firm Lazarević & Pršić Attorneys, as well as the management of legal matters.

In addition to his role as Managing Partner, Igor provides expert advice in all areas of business law, with a particular focus on banking, finance, heavy industry, large-scale real estate development projects, and the resolution of complex disputes. With nearly 30 years of experience, he represents both domestic and international clients across various sectors, with a special emphasis on finance, heavy industry, and real estate development. Igor is responsible for overseeing operations in the finance, real estate development, and dispute resolution departments of the firm and leads the teams of the relevant departments in all significant transactions and cases.

Igor possesses specialized knowledge and extensive experience in advising private and public clients on the acquisition of companies and assets in complex legal environments, including debt restructuring with banking syndicates, insolvency and bankruptcy, as well as disputes with governments or historical owners/legal predecessors. He has contributed to structuring, designing, facilitating, and executing numerous complex business transactions that required resolving serious legal issues and managing conflicting interests of the parties involved (management/owners of the target company or assets, creditors, government, and competing investors). Igor has strong networks and valuable industry insight, which he leverages to advise clients on key decisions.

He has also led numerous significant cases before courts and arbitration panels involving complex acquisitions and project restructurings, successfully defending the positions of the firm’s clients or facilitating such cases as a means to acquire assets.

Since 2008, Igor has been a regular lecturer at the legal clinic attended by the top final-year students of the Faculty of Law at the University of Belgrade. Through his mentorship, he has contributed to the development of 16 generations of students, providing them with insights into the ethical, theoretical, and practical aspects of business law.
